Okay, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s tone was massive. There’s no myth there. But an entire industry has practically grown up around assisting players in replicating that fender srv stratocaster electronics

Lenny “The Main” aka “the Couldn’t Stand the Weather guitar” features a neck-through-body design (unlike any other guitars Stevie played), a two-piece maple body, ebony fretboard with a mother-of-pearl inlay that read “Stevie Ray Vaughan”, and EMG pre-amped pickups. During the recording of Couldn’t Stand the Weather music video the pickups were damaged, and soon after replaced with vintage Fender single-coils.
