Gibson Flying V Guitars

The Flying V 120 is carved from a Select mahogany body and neck with a fast, slim profile shape and Grade-A rosewood fingerboard. The traditional arrowhead zakk wylde flying v
 headstock is adorned with the Gibson logo and a striking white truss rod cover. The Flying V 120 combines vintage tones with contemporary performance, using its Alnico 5 Burstbucker rhythm and lead PAF style pickups with mismatched coils for its characteristic bite and depth. This striking ebony guitar comes with an elegant brown hardshell case and has a limited 120th Anniversary inlay on the 12th fret. My grandfather owned one of the original 12 prototypes of the original Gibson Flying V guitar and Dan would stop at nothing to acquire this guitar. Dan lied to my grandfather’s face for a profit and to begin what would become a very lucrative guitar acquisition project for none other than Eddie Van Halen himself. I was pretty young when all of this happened but my family knows the story all too well and here’s how it goes.
